TREMA centrifugal droplet separator
The TREMA centrifugal droplet separator is used to separate droplets which are carried along from the exhaust air, and is usually connected downstream of other scrubber types.
The exhaust air enters the bottom part of the droplet separator tangentially. The droplets are separated from the flow of exhaust air by high centrifugal force. The liquid is drained in the lower part of the device. Appropriate installations prevent droplets which have already been separated from being carried along by the rising flow of gas. A drip edge is arranged in the upper part of the droplet separator.
The exhaust gas exits the separator through the horizontally or vertically arranged gas exit port.
